The machine is designed for cutting bread into sticks or slices of various sizes. Moreover, the configuration of bread (baton, brick) is not essential.
Depending on the number of knives you use, you can get different types of bread cuts. Fig. 1. If you use a straw cutter unit, you can get straws of various configurations, fig. 2.

Technical features of bread cutting machine

To be precise, this machine does not cut, but saws bread. It is sawing that gives good quality to the final product, that is:

  • uniformity of cutting;
  • minimum amount of crumbs.

One of the best methods known in world practice is taken as a basis: the principle of sawing with disc cutters with a special shape of teeth, Fig.3.

Bread cutting machine operating principle

The bread is placed (fig. 5) in tray 1 and moved by pusher 2. The disc-shaped knife 3 cuts the bread into slices, while the knives mounted on unit 4 cut the bread into rectangles. The product then passes through the straw cutting unit (fig. 4), where it is shaped into the desired shape.

The main advantages of the bread cutting machine

1. To get the right size straw, the operator only needs to put the bread loaf in its original position and switch the machine on.
2. All components and parts are easily accessible.
3. The machine cuts bread in three projections in one setting.
4. The machine is universal and quickly adapts to different types of finished product: straws, slices, rectangles.
5. Bread, as a starter product, can be in many different shapes: loaf, brick, round.

Note: Round bread is pre-cut by hand to the diameter.
